The long overdue law reforms have delivered a range of financial benefits previously denied to same sex couples. Taxation and superannuation reform, among others, will enable same sex couples to have rightful control over there financial affairs.

From a design point of view I wanted to use an image of a bar code. To many, this symbol represents a form financial freedom — the purchase of goods and services. The reforms, in many cases will enable same sex couples to exercise this freedom. While the purchase of goods is only one by-product of the reforms, it is a tangible, 'every day' example of how financial law reform will benefit same sex couples.
