T-Shirt 44/85 (Relationships) by Rico Reinhold

The colourful and visually loud graphic language of stain glass windows has been the look of one of my recent series of paintings. This iconography is related immediately to religion, especially to the Christian churches that are amongst the most common places where the relationships are made official. The love and the commitment of the couple in the design is glorified and praised as a holy unit in which it represents powerful statement that love does not have to be gender-specific. The wedding ring is an additional symbol of complete liberation and equality of same-sex relationships.
