Gay Liberation is the name used to describe the radical lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender movement of the late 1960s and early to mid 1970s in North America, Western Europe, and Australia and New Zealand.

I decided to create a design with a 70’s retro feel. This shirt is a social commentary about the Gay Liberation movement that emerged in the 1970s and the continued progress this movement has has had in shaping the rights of homosexuals.

The orange circle is also representative of the sun (a life force). I.e the idea a new legislation is rising up.
